support page from BMW labelled for Nav 4 but should work for the 5 as well
https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/en/wear/accessories/navigation-and-communication/support.html

If you download the ZIP file you get 2 files, one is a text file of instructions, the other contains the data

D0743020G.gpi.  is latest version

You might want to follow the instructions in the text file (I'll repeat them in a follow up message) to see what version you have. This will tell you how to find the relevant folder on your device - seems the letter after 3020 is the significant bit.

Before you delete any files from you Nav, make a back up copy just in case the version on the website is older than the one on your Nav!

The gpi file should work on any Garmin satnav, Zumo or Navigator.

BMW Motorrad Dealer Database v10.00 (2015 data)

Instructions for uploading the database to a BMW Motorrad Navigator IV using Microsoft Windows.

1)   Connect the GPS via the USB cable to an open USB port on your computer. Turn on the GPS unit.

2)   If your computer asks for a driver, please download and install the USB driver from Garmin's website at www.garmin.com.  The driver can be found
by selecting "Software" from the "Support" menu and then selecting "Additional Software" and "USB Drivers".

3)   Once the computer recognizes your GPS device, a new window should pop up showing the GPS storage drive.  If no window pops up, simply double
click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and double click on the drive displaying "BMW Navigator IV".

4)   Within the "BMW Navigator IV" drive, open the "Poi" folder within the "Garmin" folder.  This is where the updated database will be copied.

5)   Locate the downloaded dealer database file named D0743020G.gpi.  Highlight the file, and select Edit > Copy.

6)   Go back to the "Poi" folder within the GPS unit's drive and paste the database file by selcting Edit > Paste.
(Note: You can also drag and drop files to and from your drives.)

7)   Within the "Poi" folder, delete older dealer database files with the names 006D074302.gpi, D0743020A.gpi, D0743020B.gpi, D0743020C.gpi, D0743020D.gpi,
   D0743020E.gpi, or D0743020F.gpi.
Do not delete other gpi files.

8)      Safely remove the GPS device from your computer.

The BMW Motorrad dealer database for the BMW Motorrad Navigator IV has now been updated to version 10.00.
Please be aware that the Navigator IV will report version 10.00 of the dealer database  If you experience difficulty loading the database to
your BMW device or for any additional help with this process, please visit the "Managing Files" and "Troubleshooting" sections in the GPS unit's owner's
manual.

Should have done this before linking to that page - the file is not very up to date - Cotswold is listed at their old address. Blade (as Clarks) in Birmingham is listed etc.

Use google maps then put the postcode into the Nav...

thanks - it works on my Zumo 390 - Cotswold are at the new address but Blade is still on there and M&P in Swansea is not listed so a further update is due!
