Service Indicator
« on: January 22, 2019, 02:49:12 PM »
Since I've had to fully charge my battery after it decided to be very flat on Sunday, the bike tells me it needs a service in September which seems a bit ridiculous, it currently being January.
Can I shut it up? I have a GS-911.

You can.

I have occasional access to a GS911 but things are coming on at a pace and  have recently spent a lot of time working with Tune ECU on my Tiger, dongle at £11 and APP for £10 and an android device not quite that simple but a start,BM isn’t there yet but cheaper options look like they are coming.

OK thanks.
Would that be make it go away completely, or change to something else.....?

If the battery was disconnected for a long(ish) period, chances are that the date and time need to be set, and then everything should be back to normal(hopefully). My wife had similar on her R12GSw, I just put my Nav VI in the dock and the date and time reset after a couple of minutes(you can probably do it through the setup manu as well).

Ah ha! I did the time quickly before riding to work on it yesterday, but not the date.... I'll do that tonight.
Good to know the GS-911 thing though.

Looks like the date isn't accessible through the instrument panel, only the clock. I guess I can do that with GS-911 then (when it's not so cold in the garage).

Have you tried fitting the sat nav in its dock. It should automatically reset your clocks...

Motoscan can set the date too. However I would try fitting the satnav like Bree said, this has a time syncing feature.
