Nav 6 top speed
on: January 22, 2019, 11:07:26 PM
The top speed recorded on my Nav 6 will not record over 150 (kmh) no mater how fast I go. The speed on the nav reads higher when riding but when recalled it's always 150 kmh. I read the manual and can't find a setting that alters this, any Ideas?

Officer, I swear I wasn't going that fast....  See my nav shows that I topped out at 150kph....not 200kph as you say...your radar must be broken.

Yep, the mother ship is looking out for your insurance rates.  :030:

Now are you sure you are actually going 200 ...Only the Red ones go that speed and it may be that your Nav is correct .. :008: :745: :745:

The white ones run over 300 km/h, so I wouldn't bother with a red one.

Just for info - it is not photoshoped ;)
Explanation - seems that the Nav 5 has some issues with really short tunnels. I discovered this while tracking the whole route back in Basecamp to see where this speeds accure. While riding on the D8 (Adriatic coastal rode in Croatia) you come across a couple of them. And everytime you get in and out of them (max speed there 60-80 km/h) the Nav 5 shows speeds in excess of 300 km/h.

Maybe there's a flaw in the space-time continuum in those tunnels.

My Red one is now bare metal, the speed stripped of the paint.  :156:
