Saturday arr a lovely day the sun is out and it’s already 23C at 10am, as we wanted a day sort of off the bike we jumped on the bike a potted up to the out of town Hyper Market and grabbed some food for a picnic and as most places are shut on a Sunday we got something for Sunday night “yep two bottles of wine, bread cheese and some ham, come on its France”.

We went off to the Imperil gardens at the Château de Compiègne for a walk around after just under 5k’s of walking in the beautiful sunshine we stopped for a quick picnic and wandered back into the Town for a well-earned drink.  Nice day off the bike lots of photos.
After over thirty years behind the bars, I’ve still not done it all or seen it all.

Sunday arr a lovely day the sun is out and it’s already 23C at 10am it’s like ground hog day! What’s not to like.  Off out on the bike to Circuit de Reims-Gueux the long way round 160k’s later we pulled up took a few photos.

Monday arr a lovely day the sun is out and it’s already 23C at 10am it’s like ground hog day! What did I do that already!

We head off just after 10:30 Sat Nav working and pace notes to hand just in case.

No dramas at all, just have to watch the speed signs a lot have dropped to either 80 or 70 kph and there seemed to be more speed cameras than I remember.

Arrive at the Eurotunnel, go to UK Passport control and have to take off the helmets!  However the four bikers a couple of cars in front did not have to, I guess they just like to keep it random!

Back into the UK and onto the A20 up to the M25 yet again not traffic what going on it’s 3pm on a Bank Holiday Monday and there is very light traffic great!

Off the M1 up the A5 and home for 5pm just in time to look at the billon plus bugs on the bike, bucket out and give it a good soap down in the sunshine with a beer.

All in all 812 mile in four day well three days riding!
