Fork seals
« on: April 17, 2019, 04:31:42 PM »
Went for a ride out in Wales last weekend and notice a fair leak around one of the seals and misting on the other.

The bike's only done 13k miles and this'll be the second time I've had to replace them.

I wouldn't have minded if it was wheelie abuse but the electronics have put pay to that.

Am I just unlucky?

18'000 on my S1000r, mist and dirty oil ring since day one. Was told It's normal, just assembly grease. Mmm...
My Xr is the same, but I fear possibly a little worse. However, it's not running down. But still, bit poor me thinks.
Might ask a different dealer to look at it at the 12k

There’s already a thread running on such had mine changed at 1200 miles.
