hi guys  ,got 60000km on my xr and timing chain rattling badly ..due to living in spain and the brexit bol....x can't seem to locate a tensioner ...any ideas...and no bmw dealer no real help here either .

Just fit a manual tensioner and forget about it. Have over 45k km on my manual tensioner and maybe adjusted twice.

Most are advertised on Ebay.    Probably all out of the same factory.

Mine runs very nicely with the stock tensioner, but never hurts to have a plan ‘B’ my front runner would also be the Motorwerks one, certainly not going to be a cheap event buying and getting shipped to the UK...

Got mine off fleabay...is an A.P.E. unit, they don't do a lot, tbh.....just holds the chain rail in the right spot. A simple bolt and nut would do the same thing.
