Just lowered my xr to 800mm seat height
on: October 22, 2015, 11:36:37 PM
I just picked up my bike from Nitron who have made a new lower shock & spring to my weight , what an incredible transformation, so much better & I can get my feet flat on the floor, it is now 800mm seat height (low seat fitted)
The side & centre stand are still fine

Interesting!  What were the damages......er, financial reimbursement, for that bit of work?
What brand of shock did they use?  Or did they create their own?
Many people ride.....but for a select group of people it's more than a ride....it's one of life's great passions.

I loaned them my bike for a week as a development bike so they gave me 50% discount but the full price of my shock would of been around £400
The company is Nitron in Witney oxford and they are very helpful, they will ask your weight with all your riding gear on & make a bespoke unit for you.

Thats interesting.  I've just bought a new XR but its too tall and hard.  What weight /height are you if you don't mind me asking?   I'm 65kgs/5'7" and wondering if I should do the front springs as well as the rear?

cheers
-Pete

Nitron make great shocks, I had a Race Pro on both my Street Triple and Daytona 675r track bike.

Hi Wondershunter, i am wondering if your bike has ESA and electronic ride modes.  If so how did Nitron disable the electronics on your bike ?

the shock looks great but my worry is disconnecting the electronics on the bike.

Hi my bike is a non ESA model, but I would suggest you contact Nitron to see if he do a shock for yours.

Cheers
