LED sidelight/ parking lights
« on: November 11, 2015, 05:27:49 PM »
Has anyone upgraded their sidelights to LED? If so, which ones did you get? I got some from Amazon, but got a LAMPF warning, so they're going back!

Exactly the same for me.

Tried some high end LED's (£18/pair) and some el cheapo ones (£2/pair). Both threw the dreaded LAMPF warning.

I'm sticking with the stock filament bulbs for the time being.

Bummer  :157:

The search continues.

Inertia LED has incredibly bright, CAN bus compliant LEDs for front and rear turn signals.  A bit pricey but are 700 lumens bright and didn't throw an error code.

With domestic lighting LED's need a particular driver so I would assume you would need to fit a driver somewhere. Unless the LED lamp has a driver built in but I doubt it. Sounds like hassle to me. I think my stock lights are pretty good mind.

The install was plug and play.  Nothing more than the bulb was needed.  All self contained.  Incredibly bright.

work fine on mine,if they dont light first time turn them through 180 degrees and refit.
when removing the originals use long nose pliers and pull the bulb base out, dont touch the plastic tab as it just puts pressure on the holder
as RichXR says they are made of cheese,I just pulled the bulbs out without breaking them
they look good
