For UK riders, you could try these guys, or http://www.cjsracing.co.uk/ in Bristol who share their Stage 1 tunes with each other.

I also have a Euro4 K16GT and the throttle response compared to Euro3 was terrible. These guys adjusted the throttle map (one of the things that Bren Tunning do as well) to get some of the feel back and make it more linear, before hand 85% twist only gave 50% throttle. Makes a big difference in riding feel along with the some fuelling and timing mods, removing speed limiters etc.

Question for the people with a Brentuned bike.

Do you think it makes it easier or harder to ride fast?

Easier - straight line or acceleration from corner. Harder - more throttle control needed holding around 4k rpm in twisties.

Have to agree here, feels smoother at the same time as more urgent!

I like the idea of tuning the ECU rather than additional black boxes. I would like to return to stock though for any warranty work. Maybe a good way to go is pick up a used ECU on Ebay, have it cloned and tuned.
That way its just a quick change over.

It's actually "quicker" using the handheld Brentuning device...10mins max.

My experience...I prefer piggy back,i’ve A couple of bikes with PC111’s and the X/R has a PCV, but go back 10 years and ECU mapping was the future so I went Rexxer, but manufacturers have made ECU access more difficult, hence the strong comeback with piggyback and in all fairness really like the feel of a PC compared to an ECU remap it’s a softer feel.

But hey only one way to find out..

I think has more to do with the backlash and cush drive. The throttle response just makes it more sensitive. Constant throttle as I mentioned is easier. No complaints, change bike completely

I bought the BT hand held and a stage 3 flash about 9 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. I’m a weekend / occasional track day rider and absolutely not interested in the touring/ commuting capability of the XR. I have Akro headers with std silencer ( like Cuban rider) , sprint filter and all racks, Center stand, passenger pegs etc removed.
The bike is now a beast and sounds fantastic. I love it!

All depends what you are looking for.
