Greeting from SoCal
« on: August 15, 2019, 04:46:07 AM »
Greeting from sunny So-Cal

Good forum and tons of valuable info, been in forum offline for quite a while, pretty much for research before I made a jump, this week is my 3rd weeks on XR, coming off from FJ09 and ZX10R, enjoying the bike so far, looking forward for more miles.

Cheers.

Drai - Congratulations!!!!! The XR is some "great" machine. Enjoy it on the various beautiful wonderful roads that are in So. CA. BTW, I recently moved from Dana Point to Spokane WA. and though there's some pretty good twisty/curvy roads here, IMO they're not as good, or as clean as Palomar MT. and other great roads in North and South San Diego County, also The Crest, or Malibu (man I wish I was riding there now).

Yep, still looks/was the same (as of last October, when I was there). IMO what's great about Palomar Mt, is that from about 2/3PM on (even on Saturdays & Sundays), ya can "pretty much" have S & E Grade Rd to yourself and go as fast as ya please.

We were summoned to a wedding a couple years ago in Carlsbad when the groom heard the hesitation in my voice about it being a long trip he says 'Boys night out is Anaheim SuperCross' we'll be there I say  :001:

When it comes to life style and weather jeeze you boys have us beat hands down but we went to Palomar mountain because I sick to death of Freeways and right hand turns most of Wales is like PM and while we have to return in the future it'll be a convertible Mustang we had a hardtop last time but with the price of fuel sorry gas!! 20mpg is no problem  :001:
