Short of pulling a fuse, I don't think you can turn the DRL off, (without putting the headlight on!)
The sensor is built into the instrument display............somewhere !

Why do you need to turn off your lights for a trackday?

I have done dozens of trackdays with my lights on.

Who ever told you that?

The reason we used to tape up lights on TD's was a) in case of an off less chance of breaking, b) if in an off they break it helps keep shards from going all over the track, c) it's better for the photographer.
c) being the main reason

New one on me too. Before I had a dedicated track bike I just taped up the lights for safety reasons.................

There is no separate fuse for the sidelights. They are powered directly by the ZFE module using transistor drivers which function as electronic circuit breakers.

My advice would be simply to remove the covers on the high and low beam and pull the sidelight bulbs out of the headlight shell. Then they would not be visible from the front.

You have to switch them off on Hopp days at Cadwell. I went to drl and put a strip of gaffer tape down the front. Easy peasy
