Has anyone else read the article by Ben Purvis about the S1000XR, and its new model.  Google Bennetts / Ben Purvis S1000XR. Its a great read....

Yep but this guy Ben Purvis has been around for a long time and is very knowledgeable in the motorcycle industry.

In my case definitely wait. Maybe a year then start looking for bikes with all the bells and whistles already fitted. And any major gremlins sorted. Works for me, but many riders like a brand new model, and of course with PCP deals thats possible.

Not sure it's worth waiting to see if they iron out the bugs, The XR was launched 2015 and all the bugs are the same in 2019 ....handlebar vibration, sub par heated grips, noisy engine, the odd cam shaft issue, cam chain rattle. I'll probably just buy one when they come out with a shiney new warranty  :001:
