I prefer the BMW ones to shad SH36. Nothing wrong with the quality but they sit too high for my liking. Wierdly I do like the SH35 which to me look a bit better.

Anyway - if you can zoom in on the picture and focus on the exhausts you can see how much higher they are.

Height of the position of the panniers has never been an issue... and the missus is quite happy too  :169:
On the other hand, I certainly prefer the look of the bike when the panniers aren't mounted... which is most of the time  :028:

Drop by if you can and have a look before you decide to make the purchase...

Thanks Serge, I might just do that. Already got an SH48. I’ll flick you a message sometime and get your details. I did see your bike photos somewhere on here previously.

A bit late to the party, but thought I'd throw up a pic of my 2018 Ocean Blue XR with the Shad SH35 cases.  I think the brushed aluminum look goes well with the matte Blue.

Really good build quality and pretty clean look when the cases are not on the bike.

or the Givi Trekker  trk33. Use as back box or as panniers.
I will, when I can afford the monolock removeable pannier frame. Anyone got one spare for the xr?

I am partial to GIVI as well.  BMW are overpriced for what you get.  I liked the SW Motech Trax on my GS, but a bit pricey.  I had the GIVI outback as well and loved them.

I am looking at the DOLOMITI 36 L top loading aluminum panniers.  Well priced (especially when I order them from Italy) and I believe they look good, well proportioned for the bike.  I am also considering the smaller topbox (30l) to go along with it.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get the Shad SH36 and fitting kit for a good price? I’d previously found them on Amazon Germany but they’re not listed anymore. Looking at about AUD$875 locally. My Google searches haven’t got me anything decent.

Here is the best deal I have found on new 3P mounts for the XR.  76.7 Euro.  Not sure about shipping to you....

They also have the SH35 cases for 295 Euro, again not sure about shipping to you....
