Changed my fork oil today. Not too difficult but a bit time consuming. Few pictures of the fork spring compressor I made for the job using turnbuckles. Figured they would give a bit more control than a tie down when releasing.  Worked pretty well. Thought I would share as might be useful for someone else

The previous owner put that on the forks. Plastic wrap. Makes the bike look all red and black without the gold forks

How much for fluid did you put in each of the forks?  I believe both forks need different amount of fork fluid since they have different cartridges.

you really should invest in the Maintenance DVD or the Haynes Manual, but here you go

those measurements are with just the cartridges installed and no spacers or springs, etc
