So who's placed an order so far ?

Any of you guys put an order in yet? I'm a bit reluctant to commit without riding one. Dealer says it's just to secure bike and not binding but I've got to spec the bike out to how I want it. Once you go through that process its gonna be hard to say no once they arrive.

Years ago I had a CBF1000 (ok it was a long time ago  ) and I bought that blind when it first came out. I was less experienced then and thought it was fantastic so I was happy as larry. A few years later I traded it for a new Fireblade but I waited for it to come out so I could have a test ride before commiting. Only problem with that of course is that supply can be limited initially so it can take a while to actually obtain one in the exact spec you want.

Im Currently in Hong Kong finishing off 4.5 years here....returning to uk in 5 weeks for good..

Ordered mine ( SE version in Red ) a few months ago....it arrives 20th June.

Day I arrive from Hong Kong i'm straight down to the dealer to pick her up....

Just hope I like it....

Putting a deposit down of £200.00 is not a commitment to buy. It is fully refundable should you change your mind. What it does do is put you in the queue to possibly get the bike quicker if you do decide to buy one following a test ride.

I understand all the initial production are Sport SE versions, I'm not sure why you wouldn't buy this specification as it will probably have the best residual value, and be the most accomplished. I ordered my Light White Sport SE in mid October, production early June, delivery mid July....I can't wait!

Its a good idea to pay the deposit by credit card then if you proceed to buy one and the deposit forms part of the final transaction the total purchase is covered by Section 75 of the credit consumer act which means if you have any problems you can claim the total amount from the credit card company.

My local..ish dealer in West Yorkshire wanted a min of 500 quid to secure mine for mid June Delivery......I don't mind at all...just means she'll be waiting for me when I arrive in the UK.....Just praying its as good as they say it is..... ...he's not that fussed either if I don't want it as he knows he can sell it immediately.

That's a good point, I once paid a deposit by bank transfer mainly as a trial run for the full amount which was paid at delivery. However, there was a scratch on the tank which I luckily spotted when picking up the bike. Took a few months to get a new tank (due to short supply as new bike). However it made me think afterwards that paying the deposit on a credit card might have been best bet in case it wasn't resolved amicably.
