Hi Forum - noob here, currently riding a 30 year old K100RS 16V, due to retire in a few months, and guess where part of my tax free lump sum is going.  I need to devour all the threads on here before I start asking stupid noob questions..... And there are a lot of threads 😉 until then I will lurk.

:400:. I'm sure you'll find the forum very useful.
Are you looking to get the new 2020 model or are you looking for a  second hand one?

Thanks for the warm welcome, depending on funds it may be a 2020 model or a 2019 with all the bangs & whistles, early days yet as I’m not that familiar with the model specs so not sure what to go for as yet. Update : having just seen the update post it will almost certainly be a 2019 model, prefer the look of it over the facelift one

Ive just bought a 68 plate xr1000 from vines of guildford with 3,500miles with 2 years warranty for £9999.95 so there are bargains to be had but my advise is buy from a bmw main dealer that gives you 2 years unlimited warranty 2 years roadside assist just for peace of mind if anything goes wrong

PS I Love my XR never thought i would like it better than my S1000r but I do
