:046: According to an article from Visor Down and the UK Government we've currently got the green light to enjoy a ride out.

Here's the link and enjoy while we can...........

you might want to click the link at the top of that article that takes you to https://www.visordown.com/news/general/coronavirus-only-essential-motorcycle-travel-permitted-lockdown as the one you refer to predates the announcement yesterday evening

Saw this, aside from the sales pitch, sensible advice on why a motorbike is preferable to a car for essential journeys.

Until you come off your bike, and take up the time of an ambulance, 2 paramedics a doctor and several nurses all of whom are doing 18 hour shifts to save people suffocating to death....but go for a ride by all means it won't happen to you. (not aimed at anyone in particular)

Unless it is ESSENTIAL you should not be riding - end of !

You can of course ride your bike if you are using it to go to the supermarket, which may not necessarily be the nearest one  :305:

Just wondering how long are people prepared to wait before going out on there bikes if this lock down continues for many months ? I feel after about 3 weeks I will start to get depressed if I can’t ride 😥😥
Enjoy yourself and get the bike out 👍

5 days in and i'm getting tetchy but with our police forces concentrating on those drivers/riders causing no harm rather than the crowds of people congregating in the towns I've resisted getting the bike out. I have signed up to the latest volunteer scheme to move help with prescription and medication distribution in the hope that I will be good to ride doing that.

I’m with Markymark11, doesn’t matter how desperately I want to return to normal life, while fit and healthy I think we should all do what we can to minimise our impact on the country’s resources at this time of national crisis.  If that means my bike doesn't leave the garage for a few months, or even longer, well there’s always next year to get a full season of leisure riding in.
