I am considering ordering a low chassis version like the one I tested (vertically challenged ...)
I haven't seen a 2020 model in the flesh yet but I noticed something when I compare pictures of the (standard size) previous version (black) with the newly released one (red).
The exhaust and side stand seem to be hanging down much lower on the 2020 model and I wonder if I will not be dragging hard parts even in the straights with the new lowered version !  :001:
Am I imagining things ??

Both pics show the "lowered" version of each model. No need to worry though, you'll not be scraping bits on the road unless you lean a very long way or fall over. :016:

You'll not go wrong with either.

Question on Dynamic Pro. My 2020 XR is in for the 600-mile service, turn off the rev limiter and I asked about the Dynamic Pro. Was told it is something I need to do under the seat?  Sound like 2020 it is software not a dongle.  Can someone confirm, I pick my bike up tomorrow.

Thanks

sounds like the pre 2020, dongle under the seat, left hand side close to the ABS pump, it's a bit of a bugger to see/get to as if I remember correctly the connector is upside down.

Nothing under the seat on 2020 model. That was the case only on Gen 1.
On 2020 you need to enable it in the "Settings" menu on your TFT (you will find "Dynamic Pro" there) I believe this is mentioned in the users manual too. Then you configure its options, such as wheelie, traction control, throttle response etc.
After you enable it in settings menu, it will then become available as the 4th mode when you select engine modes via "mode" button
However, be aware that during the break in period Dynamic Pro option in settings menu will be grayed out. It becomes available (not grayed out) only after your dealer removes the rev limiter at 600 mile service. Check that immediately at the dealers when you come to pick up the bike

It didn't occur to me that those pictures were of the lowered models !!  And I was far from scrapîng the pegs touring my short test ride ...

And yes, a different camera angle could well explain why the exhaust appears lower on the 2020.

Thanks guys !

Same here. The plug symbol is displayed and dynamic pro mode were available since day 1. US model.

However, I needed GS911 to remove RPM restrictions form 9k to 12k.

Dynamic Pro is enabled via a dash setting. No dongle needed, you do not need to wait until the first service.

I have one 2020, enable the dynamic pro...  but don’t fell any difference from touring, on the dashboard I have a symbol looks like a relay. I believe yes need the dodle, I check under the seat and the conector is the same that have my S1000r.

No, it is software. Once you go through the menu and set up Pro and save it. Pro will add to the Mode button on the right handlebar.
