Hi De Ho From a hot and sunny Cape Town
« on: February 02, 2016, 11:06:24 AM »
Picked up my new s1000xr up north in Rustenburg and road the 1800klm home in three days
The bike is stunning. and the touring and sportiness of the xr is just what i am looking for.
i tried to avoid all highways but when you travel 1800klms you have to do long straits.

Panniers were grate and easy to use, slight speed wobble a higher speeds. Cant fit my helmet in the side panniers.
Navigator v is the best Got me home just like it promised, and gave me all information i wanted and more.
Speed cruise control a very nice gadget
The engine vibes are there but not any issue
I allso ride a KTM990 on the South African gravel roads. The 990 is tall but somehow i am more comfortable on the 990 when at a stop and very slow takeaways.

Very Happy Chappy
