I have the same issue on my May 2019 xr. I have sent fotos to the dealer but need to wait until the current Covid restrictions are lifted to get it in to check. I am convinced it’s melted from the inside. Likewise never changed bulb. I will try to post foto.

No. I never run the bike in the garage so cover is always off. D

I'm thinking that's caused by the sun, being reflected back and converged on that spot. It's a deep reflector, I could imagine it does a 'good' job at throwing sunlight back out.  Being parked, no riding air flow to cool it off.
Even if the bulb would be too hot, you'd expect the whole cover to be affected to some degree. Not just that section completely gone and the rest not damaged at all. Also an H7 light has that little grey cap on the top, so no light is thrown directy on that spot.

Hopefully our lockdown here in Scotland is lifted soon and I can get it in and checked out. I will post once I get an answer from my dealer. Dave

He's in Scotland, they don't have sun.  :001:
Seriously tho' if that was an issue none would survive where I live.
