How many aftermarket farkles have you added?
on: May 29, 2020, 05:22:04 PM
You can tell I've more time on my hands than normal asking this question!! I was wondering how much 'stuff' have you bolted onto your XR since you bought it?

This is a list of the bits I've bought and fitted to mine.

1/ Leo-vince end can
2/ Evo-tec rad & oil cooler guards
3/ Evo-tec bar end weights
4/ Evo-tec crash bungs
5/ Evo-tec front wheel spindle crash bungs
6/ Evo-tec exhaust hanger & pilion peg blanking plate
7/ Wunderlich Aton spotlights
8/ Wunderlich low seat rubbers
9/ BMW low seat
10/ BMW tinted screen
11/ HP brake & clutch levers
12/ Denali soundbomb mini
13/ Extended rear hugger
14/ GB Racing engine case covers.

Most of the above was bought 2nd hand from previous owner on E-Bay.

Still on the to buy list is the Evo-tec tail tidy & the lockable BMW Satnav mount.

A short list for me.

Sargent seat
EVO bar end weights
Wunderlich sport tank bag
Synto clutch lever
Givi radiator/oil cooler guard

The Nav V, panniers, and soft tail bag from my RS fit the XR so I can swap back and forth.

Wow, some people have really gone for it. Not much for me:

1. Ilmberger extended carbon front mudguard
2. Wunderlich rear extended hugger.
3. Synto clutch lever
4. Evotech bar end weights
5. Givi side stand extender.
6. Go faster wheel rim stickers off eBay.

Apart from the last one, all necessary changes to make the bike better.

So far just gas.. if that counts.

Plan on a seat Sargent when they make one.
Some hard bags of some description.

Way too hot to trouble the noddle about what is fitted but the important bits that spring to mind.

Dymags
Akra headers
Power Commander
Wilbers Rear Shock

Seats x 2 now i’ve Sold one,and bizarrely ended up with 2 carbon front mudguards... although not fitted at the same time  :002:

Oh and some very large and ugly Power Bronze hand guards which work great considering how crap the heated grips are.

When it comes to crash bars for the newbies which hardly ever gets discussed now Cuban riders vid in action  :001:

Oh yes, I’ve got crash bars as well. You’ll definitely want them after Cuban riders video.
