The handlebar unit has a rechargeable battery, uses a USB pigtail that charges from a typical phone charger.  It holds a charge 6  to 9 months.  Pretty good, I think.  I haven't had it long enough to confirm that the pressure sending units last 2 years.

Its nice. I like yours install out of handlebars. Do you know the extra weight in the wheels?

The sensors are less than 6 grams so I did not add any extra wheel weights.  I have not notice any adverse effects.
