Hello everyone, only spent about ten mins lurking the threads before joining. Good/Funny discussion on chain maintenance.

so introduction ill try to keep it brief. i was the kid you would always find near or working on a bicycle. i loved two wheels, but always thought more about cars then motorcycles.
i grew up in a two bay garage on the outskirts of town, my best friends house. On one side, there was this KZ400 from 1977.  For 20 years i never even heard this thing run, and never thought of it as a true motorcycle. Now his dad had gave it to his sister, and i was employed to help move it. I think that was the day my perspective changed on it.
few years later it would be for sale for $400. been driving it since. Just about 10K later, i still love her but want to hit highway speed with out needing to rev her out.  Not to mention a passenger.

i have now owned my S1000xr for 3 days. It has 103 miles (and its 10AM for me on day 3).
I look forward to getting to know some of you, getting advise, and maybe passing on some of that advise. But how i found this forum was the search for luggage.
Cheers

thank you both for the welcome!
its not a great picture, but i wanted to upload something unique for now. (to be changed later)

I got lucky to grab the last 2020 at my local dealer. I'm not wild about the color, but i know a guy in auto body. It is the "ice gray"
test drove it with 5 miles on the clock.
