Picking up new bike on Saturday

Hi all,
This is a re-introduction as I have now sold my K1600, and my XR red Sport SE is at the dealers (Bhanstormer Maidenhead), and ready to be handed over to me this Saturday 5 Mar.
Previous bikes: Honda VFR 800, Harley Fat Bob (wont dwell on that one), Triumph Tiger Explorer, BMW K1600.
Regular visitor to Loomies, Alton Station Cafe, The Departure Lounge, Mick's Monster Burgers Portsdown Hill, and whiteways.
I've been seeking the ideal bike for a while, and I think I may just now have found it. The test rides I had courtesy of Bhanstormer Maidenhead were just awesome, can't wait to get it
I have the Akrapovi silencer fitted, I've removed the hand guards, replaced the brake and clutch levers with the HP levers, I have Evotech rad and oil cooler guards arriving in the next day or so. Interestingly, Bhanstormer Maidenhead are offering the R&G guards and fitting them (not keen on the look of these), but they will not fit the Evotech ones - so hope not too difficult to fit. I plan to fit the BMW engine guards at the 600 mile service.
All set for the new season, bring it on!!!
PS: By the way, Slider is a nickname from my footballing days, but seemed apt here

Welcome, Slider.....enjoy the new XR
Installing the Evotech guards is a 10-minute-job and after that you will be smiling how it looks

Welcome, Slider.
I go to Whiteways occasionally, so will keep an eye out for you. I regularly go to West Berkshire amongst other places, and one of my favourite roads is the B4000/ B4001 around Lambourn. Biking nirvana on the XR.

Hello Slider. Enjoy the bike, even if it is the slow red version
I go to, and past, Loomies quite a bit, and occasionally to Micks on the hill - see you around!

Thanks, I'll be sure to look out for you. Yes, the B4000/B4001 right on my doorstep, and have used many times.

Interestingly, I was first attracted to white, and would probably have gone for that had things move quickly back in Oct/Nov last year, but having the time to ponder, reflect, and flip flop over every nuance of the bike, I drifted towards the 'slower red'.
I'll be sure to look out for you at Loomies and on the hill.
Cheers
