Tank ring on keyless 2020 XR
« on: August 11, 2020, 03:52:53 PM »
Just wondering if anybody has transferred a Tank ring from previous bikes to the new Keyless 2020 XR. Knowing there is a small solenoid fitted around this area. Anybody had any issue or does everybody have the opinion that it should be no problem fitting??
Using the one from my previous K1300S, all holes line up etc so fitting not an issue.
Any thoughts or suggestions??  :305: :305:

No issues with the one from my r1250gsa straight on to the gen 2 s1000xr also my givi hand extenders fitted straight on as well.
Gen 2 S1000xr and that’s it.

Same for me. xfer'd an SW-Motech from R1200 GS Rallye to my 2020 S1000XR - no issues.

Thanks for the replies. Only thing i noticed was when removing top 2 screws, the section with sov in came up a few mm and just kept a bit of pressure on this to stop it coming out all together.
Careful not to tighten up to far and all good.
