I think that’s a very good mileage tbh. So far I’ve worn a pair of road 5 rear to the cords front heavily worn on sides in 3450 fitted as a pair and had to replace as a pair. I’ve now fitted power 5 unfortunately I punctured the first rear at 1100 miles. But judging by the wear 3k would be just achievable. See how the new rear goes.

Yep, your mileage is enviable,im averaging 3k a set, front always goes off same time as rear.
After previously owning 3 Busa's,im happy with that! :008:

Im lucky if I get 3200 miles from pirellis but am now on about 4000 miles with probably another 2000 miles tread left on Michelin Road 5s.

R5 is a very good all round tyre - grip, confidence and last well too  :305:

Hi, I have a 2019 BMW S1000XR fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. I've just had my first annual service @ 4290 miles and was alarmed to find out that the front tyre needs replacing!! The rear tyre is still OK although this was replaced at 1789 miles due to a puncture. I don't ride my bike that aggressively so am a little surprised that I would have to change a tyre so soon. On my previous XR the tyres (Metzeler)  didn't need changing until 10,000 miles. Is this normal for this kind of tyre? Has anyone else experienced similar wear?
I got 1800klms each out of two Rosso III rears  :005:, over 4000m is pretty good for that type of tyre.

Can anyone comment on Rossi III’s vs II’s?    Mine was fitted with II’s and thinking of trying the III’s on the rear

had Rosso III on the gen1, and also a Conti Sport Attack. Both are sofer tires, and both lasted just over 2000kms in the alps/pyrenees.  So you can't go there unless you trailer the bike. Also a waste to use those tyres for long distance. My current favorite is the Road5, gets decent mileage, predictable, and fun.

Does anyone know or tried the Rosso 1V tyres that came out a few months ago? Can’t find any reviews. Thanks
