I modified my 2016 GIVI adapterplate.
Just drill 4 new holes in the right spot and you're set.
Bit of a hassle to measure where to put the holes but else no problem.
Sprayed it matte black since original was alu color.

Also pretty keen to see some aftermarket replacements for this OEM rack. Sure it's great for the factor topbox but bit limiting otherwise.

SW-M have some options, I have their base plate on mine; the factory one seems good for nothing but the top box. I run Kreiga on the back, not a top box.

That looks really good actually, wonder if it would fit my BMW softbags? Reckon it probably would...

The rack the bike comes with doesn't really fit it all that securely unfortunately, particularly not with the lateral float.

Here is my solution.
Givi adapter plate, prepped it with a very strong epoxy primer (designed for bare aluminium), then painted it matte black. Very happy with the results.
My only (small) complaint is that the Givi plate is slightly longer than the OEM one.

I think the SW-M web site is pretty bad, hard to understand what is available; but they send a printed catalog when you order anything direct from them.

Mine is the Adventure rack, it's sturdy, my Kriega US20 fits easily and I imagine I can get the US30 on it. They also sell two other types of rack that fit, plus various adapter plates, see the page from the catalog below for add-ons to the Adventure rack:

So, just as an update for those that end up in the same position.

Bought that SW rack as above, fits the BMW softbags perfectly. Holds the bags more securely than the factory rack (the one made for the topbox) and the issue caused by that float are obviously also solved.

After over thirty + years behind the bars, there's still lots to do and see.

A good £20 odd cheaper. tHan most UK sites. However if you proceed the cost will shoot up with delivery added from EU countries now.
