Fastest color XR
on: October 16, 2020, 09:01:15 AM
I realise this is a subjective topic. However i have noticed recently that to confirm the Ice Grey is actually the fastest color of XR out there. If you look at pics of the 2020 model the Ice Grey has the sleeker Graphic on side fairing to cope with the extra speed  :152: :305:

I picked up my 2021 colour Sport Style model on Saturday 5th September - got speeding ticket on Sunday 6th (at running-in revs). 3 penalty points and £100 fine - sometimes wish I'd gone for a slower colour model  :087:

Ice grey  :008: i’ve always been thinking ‘Undercoat grey’  :002:, but it is strange as times goes on i’m Thinking it’s so bad it’s good....

Re 3 points and 100 quid blimey you weren’t trying very hard, i’m Just about halfway through £175 and 6 points...

Re living in Solihull, always amazed after Clark’s BMW closed UK didn’t didn’t force BM Solihull to open a bike side, instead it’s Wolverhampton or Cheltenham.

Yes - I miss Clark's
I now use Cotswold at Cheltenham - didn't have a great experience at Wolverhampton

Never got any good vibes about Wolverhampton either, in fairness i’ll Need to find a dealer when the motor needs shimming and with 6 bikes on the go, a long way from needing that,I do oil coolant, and brake fluid as I have access to a GS911 myself.

Touch wood, I've not had a speeding fine in 15 years. I always ride with a satnav that has an up-to-date speed camera database on it. What's even better is Waze on a phone, as it warns you of mobile cameras too, as users report them.

What caught you guys? Fixed or mobile cams?

Rode past a speed van (sorry safety camera) in Wales a few weeks ago and thought he must have got me even though I was only a little over the speed limit. When I got home I noticed that my number plate had dropped off - what luck - no ticket. Gen 1 in red is definitely the fastest colour  :305:

Blimey i’d Be here all day going through what I have been nicked for over the years....,the current one is on the way back from the NW200 last year, the boat docks in Hollyhead late afternoon so instead of motorway decide on a run down through N.Wales, we bump into a chap on a GS who thought his bike was faster we were on the X/R....,i’m Thinking what are chances of a camera van in the evening... :012:, 90 got me 6 points and £175 but’ve Had worse.......

The chap on the GS put up quite an effort I have to say  :001: although he was only one up.
