I miss the absence of Keyless button start on my XR. Is there a way to retrofit please?

I'm confused....do you want it..?? ....Or do you not want it..??  :027:

You said.."I miss the absence of keyless button start"..?? So you miss it "not" being there..??

If you have a Gen-1, it's "not" retrofitable.

Smithy.

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

Ah! You are correct Smithy. Although I did consider correcting my double negative.

It is a shame that I can't get keyless ignition fitted but thank you for your reply.

That's interesting, I still have a 2016 so am blighted with the fact I have to insert and turn a key!! I do have a number of riding buddies that have the keyless start and the majority really wish they still had the old style key to insert.

I'm so used to keyless ignition on cars over many years that it's a joy to have the same on the bike!  Each to his own I guess.

I agree millview.

Key is fine but keyless is an indulgent convenience for me; especially on days when I am frequently on and off the bike.
