Hi all, just arrived here via the R site (gotta watch how you say that!) I’m from wet n windy North Wales and have finally found a bike that has it all. My BMW S1000XR. I’ve been riding for many years and now need my comfort so the head down arse up days are over but still like something with some oomph in it. Tried a Tiger 1050 for a few years (comfortable but the most unreliable bike I’ve ever had) then a BMW R1200RS (superb bike but still a bit of a crouch) then a Multistrada... hated that and have now arrived here and love it. Only criticisms if this beauty are it’s a tad under geared in my opinion and no adjustable clutch lever - wth? Apart from that this is THE one 😊🥰

Plenty of information on here about aftermarket levers - I think there have been issues with some makes and it is a bit of a fiddly job changing them due to the microswitches underneath

Thanks for the welcome. Can’t figure out how to post individual replies, I’m sure I shouldn’t be out on my own,

Just click on quote, and it singles out the post....but i’d Be interested to hear your story about the 1050 Tiger being unreliable, I’ve had my 955 since 01(new) and we have been everywhere on it, admittedly it’s a long way from stock(Dymags/Ohlins/Beringers), had one blip with the fuel connectors to the tank and that’s it, even done a 1000 mile day on it... and it’s still running well.

I still have the R1200RS but it has to go, can’t afford both. As for what it’s like here- be glad you are not under the control of the loony Welsh Assembly. I’m not Welsh so I’m not sure if I have to get out...I’m sure a few would like me to!
