    Removing headers with bike on centre stand.

    As title really, people who have removed their headers could you do it with the bike on the centre stand? Is there enough clearance.

    I would put it on a paddock stand but its got no forks and front wheel on it at the moment. I will probably remove the rad to do it as I am going to fit samco hoses anyway and it probably could do with a coolant change.

    Yep, can be done....it's a bit of a faf and you'll need to "manipulate" things etc... and you'll be swearing profusely. I did mine that way....Also fitted the Samco hose set, good bit of kit they are...mind you, they don't really do anything the stock hoses don't do..they just look a lot better. No real need to remove the rad, but would make access to the header springs and nuts easier. I had plenty of arguments with the springs...but eventually got there in the end. :001:

    After what seemed like ages messing around i fitted front suspension and took it off centre stand and ot came out immediately :)
