Akrapovic
« on: November 15, 2020, 09:57:26 AM »
Hi,
Does anyone know if the akrapovic headers and decat pipe from the s1000r will fit the s1000xr  ?  I was thinking the headers might work but might have to mess with the decat pipe, not sure. If not  I will sell on. Traded my r for the xr so took off all the Bits n Bob's.
Cheers George

The headers are the same, but the mid-pipe is completely different. attached are photos of the Akra headers and Akra long can from my '14 S1kR on my'16 XR, as you can see there is some major modification needed, or you need to buy the XR mid-pipe(but then you will need the 2 outlet endcan from the XR as well).

I just ended up buying a full Akra for the XR, it would have been way too much work to get it to fit, including cutting and welding, etc.
