I found lots of information on gs 911 but in the specifications it doesn't say that it will remove service reminder lights or alter 2020 S 1000 XR any help would be appreciated

You'll have to set a
new
dummy date/mileage reminder for the light to go on the dash... at least that's how it worked on the "Old" XR

When I looked on GS 911,s site it did not show 2020 BMW S 1000 XR as working with their code reader is that true

That is certainly a possibility... might be a little while before the GS is configured for the new XR

If someone out there has a 2020 or a 2021 and has been able to clear their own service reminders etc. could you verify if this works or what you are using to do it as I typically don't go to the dealer very often

Latest software update has the 2020+ K69 on the list....see here:
https://www.hexcode.co.za/november-2020-firmware-upgrades-available
Also, Motoscan and an OBD-Link MX or LX will do the job.

Thanks that's the confirmation I was looking for I hadn't seen the update for the GS 911 yet and the website is difficult if you've never used it before
