Bought my 2018 XR in BMW colours direct from the dealers website without test drive and it was delivered last week. Ventured out today in the freezing cold. Had a 2015 XR before so knew pretty much what to expect. Unfortunately even though they say it's fixed vibes still evident at 5000rpm but disappear at 6000 revs, have bar end weights fitted.Love the look of the bike and the sports seat with the extra padding. Best of all is the rush of acceleration as you get up the rev range along with the sublime sound of the exhaust. Came off a BMW Adventure and very glad I made the swap back to the XR.

i find it difficult to understand how any one changing from a boxer to the xr can moan about vibes, given how agricultural and viby the boxer is.could it be that the xr is so smooth in most situations that the one area less smooth is picked up on?

Did you hear me moaning about the vibrations?, I only stated a fact. Personally I never had a problem with my Adventure regarding vibrations or resemblance to agricultural equipment. Have you nothing better to do with your time?.

I went from the XR to a 1250GSA and back to the XR. GSA was a great bike but just couldn't love it for some reason.
