Schuberth C4 Pro, Sena 20s Evo to the Nav VI
on: January 01, 2021, 01:21:26 PM
Hi all,
Maybe I’m being thick or the amount of alcohol over lockdown has had an effect, I’m having an issue with connecting my Schuberth C4 Pro carbon with a Sena 20s Evo to the Nav VI.  :187:

Ok I’ll try and explain best I can.
I can link my C4 to my iPhone and the Nav VI and everything works, I can hear directions and the media player on the Nav VI, phone calls everything is good.

I can connect the Sena 20s to the C4 we can hear one another all good, I can hear the Nav VI directions but not the media player “I can see the media is running”  The Sena 20s hears nothing from the Nav VI bar button presses EG: bleeps when I press buttons.

Ok over to you guys is there a way that both headsets can hear the Nav VI and the media player?
After over thirty + years behind the bars, there's still lots to do and see.

To do what I think you want you will need to:
Pair the GPS to the Sena as a phone.
Pair the iPhone to the Sena as alternate media device.

This will allow you to control the GPS media player from the Sena and control phone dialing and pass along phone audio to the Sena.  This will not show any call info on the GPS though.  At least this is how it works on my Android phone.

The other option is the pair the iPhone to the GPS and then pair the GPS to the Sena.  This should show call info on the GPS and allow control of the phone dialing and media, but will NOT allow you to control the GPS media player from the Sena.

I did it successfully the other way around, albeit with a Sena 50R...

- I started clean by clearing all prior pairings among my Sena, phone, and Nav VI.
- First, I paired my Sena to my phone as a phone so the Sena sees it as the primary phone.
- Second, I paired my Sena to my Nav VI as a second phone.

Everything seems to work.

Note: I do not have my phone or my Sena paired to the TFT; it didn't work when I tried several times to pair the phone to the TFT, so I gave up connecting anything to the TFT for now.

Hi Gazk, reading the thread two things spring to mind.

1) I am not sure if the Nav V supports instructions (rather than media) to two helmets?  Worth checking as BMW Bluetooth is notoriously flaky:-)

2) In my conversations with Schuberth (see here https://www.s1000xr.uk/index.php/topic,5119.msg45981.html#msg45981) they consistently say "never" pair the phone direct to helmet, always phone-bike-helmet or phone-Nav-helmet.  It is a pain as it means when you are off the bike you can't answer calls through the headset but that is what the manufacture is recommending!

Hope that helps a bit!  Peter

Perhaps I misunderstood: Are you pairing a C4Pro that has a Sena 20s mounted on it or are you pairing a C4Pro that has SC1 (or similar) with another helmet that has a Sena 20s?

I have the C4Pro and the other half has a Sena 20s.

To be fair with lockdown over here for the past three months they much like the bike has been sat doing nothing  :151: however; we have a bank Holiday this weekend so I have time to sit and play with the Bluetooths

Is the SC1 the advanced version that's Sena compatible?

The SC1 is made by Sena.

I thought the early version wasn't.

The SC1 Standard and SC1 Advanced are both made by Sena, however from memory I believe the Advanced gives you more intercom options...  Peter
