2020-2021 software update

Hi Folks,

As you may know or not, productions after September 2020 (2021 models) have Core Screen like RR and pre selection of riding modes in the vehicle settings. you can add or remove riding modes from the menu.

My bike is June 2020 production and today I upgraded the latest software from the system. But unfortunately new add-ons didnt appear.

I made a request on tsara (bmw service system) and waiting for their reply.

I will update this topic later with the response.

I thought the R1250R and RT's were the only bikes getting the sport screens with the update? The RR has the extra race screen, I would be surprised if the XR got that too.

what color is your bike ? tri color xr's have the core screen

There is a company in Germany that has been advertising activating the Sport Menu in R1250s including GSs:

we have the sport screen but tri color xr has the core screen which has the lap timer features

This is correct, but earlier build non sport bikes are not getting this screen with an update of 11/20 software.

I got the answer from the service. core screen which has the lap time features only available with the cluster code 451.

451 cluster models, s1000xr tri color and s1000r tri color.
