Navigator VI battery problems?

The battery is the same for the Nav 5 & 6. You can get a replacement from a BMW dealer or the tinternet.

Mine discharges in 4 - 5 days, out of the cradle and hard-powered down

That's a good idea. I'll do that.

Given the weather, lockdown and that I'm working from home, I'm not using the bike and using the car instead when I need to make a trip to the supermarket

Email Garmin Customer Services with the serial number, I did and they sent me a new battery FOC as it was still under warranty. Can't remember how old it was, three or four years possibly.

I did. They sent me a generic link to the FAQ and told me to contact a local dealer if it's under warranty.
