Viewing it on the usual PC on a daily basis.

This is exactly what I'm seeing. Font needs to be more "bold" on this background.

And for info, this is on PC, not mobile (don't use phone for such things)

The new format works for me.

I've always just gone to the bottom of the page, and looked at the "recent topics" and opened from there.

Also started looking at the side selection of recent posts.

Once you get used to where the buttons are - you hardly need text.    A bit like a new car, and after a few hours - intuitively knowing where the volume dial is for the stereo.

I’m struggling to see the ‘unread’ in the new format, is that still available? Thanks.

Look just under your Username in the top right block.

As Simon says above, in top right block where your user name is.

The way it's positioned you'd think it's for your personal messages,

if you disable mobile view to get desktop view then it should be there - on android, click the 3 dots in the top right and tick the desktop view box

Probably for the same reason I won’t be buying the latest X/R model just cuz it’s new doesn’t mean it’s any good... but different it certainly is and thats both Forum and bike... :001:

I agree, font is too thin, it is not as easy to read as before.  Before, it was a non issue, I can't remember the size of the font nor the background - a good thing.  I am on a MacBook.  I can get used to the format, but why make the text more difficult to read?

I sure would be curious to know what the new look is supposed to fix.
