Share your HP rear-sets experiences
on: January 23, 2021, 11:38:37 PM
I recently acquired a used set of (Gilles) HP rear-sets for my 2016 XR. With winter raging here it will be another 4 months before I can access the bike to install them, hopefully trying them soon after. I’m looking to fine tune my riding position and adjust for my long legs/size 14 (50) boots. If anyone has lessons learned from installing/adjusting/living with these particular controls – I’d love to hear the stories.
Thank you!

If you have a centerstand, get yourself some kind of equipment to remove the springs.
They are very strong.
I used the trick to put rivets in between the windings of the springs, this makes the springs longer and easier to detach.

Good luck!

Thanks for that info. I've put coins in-between coils in the past.
