2019 XR SE factory fit sat- nav mount

Time to get a new sat-nav. My old 660 has lasted for years is just old so it seems the XT is the one to go for but I have one question?

Will I need a different mount than the one already on the bike?

Not 100% sure but I have a feeling it won't fit as I believe the mount is different.

I have a Nav V and a an XT it won't fit on the existing mount.

It comes with a mount though and you could replace the one you have with it.

Great satnav,  the screen is a step up from the Nav V

Yeah its got a 4 bolt AMP patter so might just be able to bolt in place of the standard one.

Will go and have a look later.

I recently swapped out the OEM mount for the new XT mount that came with the unit. It uses the same bolt spacing, so it quite easy.

You need to replace the existing harness with the one that comes with the kit. I connected the red/black wires to the original GPS jack, as shown in the photo below. I sealed the jack's exposed sockets with rescue tape (self-fusing silicone tape). This jack is accessible behind the left side panel. Panel is removed by first removing the T25 bolt on the left side of the front wheel well, then prying the panel away from the rest of the bodywork.

I've just done the same on mine.  The XT comes with a new mount, I swapped the BMW electrical connector on the left hand side down by the engine, you will need to remove the pop off side fairing or like me the whole side, with a Superseal waterproof 3 pin plug and connected the Red XT lead to the Red and White Harness lead and the Black XT lead to the Brown harness lead and away it went no problems. Just take your time with the plug wiring and the middle wire you dont need as the XT will not work with the BMW thumb controller on the handlebars.
