Hi Guys,
Im an owner of an S1000XR 2021 model and unfortunately i didnt order the bike at lowered version so im looking for a solution apart fm lower seat,in order to lower it 2-3cm.
Any ideas for lower link kit?i checked on ebay but still nothing available for gen2 model...
Brocks Performance has an adjustable lowering kit for new S1000RR 2020 but i dont know if this fits to new XR...
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately the Gen-2 XR doesn't have suspension links like the Gen-1, so there's nowhere to put "lowering links" as such. The only way to do it I suspect is possibly a shorter spring, and sliding the forks through the steering head.... but the original shock may not have enough travel to be able to use it. The "Factory Lowered" Gen-2 XR has a different shock and forks, as does the Gen-1.

These seat, off center rubbers, fit the Gen 2 XR1000.
Makes a difference!

These really work? I wouldn't mind the seat to be a bit lower but no chance I'm sacrificing padding or handling to be closer to the ground, for 5 quid these could be good even if it only lowers 1cm or so. If it lowers the seat onto the plastics it might even close up that gigantic gap there is between the tail cowls and the seat lol

They work! I use them on my 1250 GSA. Took rubbers off, and tried them on the XR.
Im a shorty
On my GSA I can only get my two big toes to touch the ground. These rubbers helped alot.
Only downside, but not a big one, it only lowers the front of the seat. So at first it feels like you are sliding forward. But its actually all in the mind and not so

I actually wouldn't mind that, I tend to slide back when accelerating. Does it clear the plastics though? you don't have to force the seat or anything right?

It clears everything. You dont force anything to hook in and lock.
But it makes the gap at the front bigger/lower if you know what I mean.
You can clearly see the seat sits lower.

Hmm, Yea I know which gap you mean, BMW can engineer to 0.001mm tolerances in the engine but leaves half inch gaps around the seat... Well, for 5 quid I'll give it a go, sounds easy enough to change around anyway.

Take seat off, pull the two rubbers out, slide two new rubbers on.
Between your legs,(in front of your nuts
) where the seat meets up with the tank cover, that gap is bigger/lower.

I have a gen2 low seat for sale in the for sale section, willing to take very sensible offers. It's new with original box etc.
