Battery
on: February 04, 2021, 08:12:20 PM
Hi

Probalbly going to be lookng for a new battery as think mine is one the way out. Its a 2015 SE/SPORT, unfortunately due to one thing and another and this covid it hasn't seen any tarmac since last February. So to the point, Lithium batteries, any particular make I should buy/avoid and do they need a lithium specific charger as its usually put away for winter and one of my lesser bikes had the honour of all the salt on the roads.

Cheers

Paul

I’ve got JMT and Shido on bikes(plus others)and they work fine, the Shido is over 6 years old.... yes you will need a lith charger, allegedly if you have a very old battery charger that doesn’t have the recovery mode then they are supposed to be OK, but I just bought a new one.

Many thanks for the replies, I have several very very old chargers alll on timers for an hour a day just to top up the batteries on my bikes. I'd buy an appropriate litho charger when  the battery is finally purchased.
Thanks again  :002:
