Remove daft sat nav cover
on: February 13, 2021, 11:45:18 AM
Getting slightly frustrated and will end up damaging this nasty cover, or is it just me??
MIght sound daft, however i just cannot get the cover off the sat nav holder. Insert key, turn and push lever in. Cover will not come off?? Tried all combinations and various levels of persuasion. Now getting to the point where i just want to rip the bloody thing off.

Never had any trouble with previosu BMW sat nav. Even worse as brand new bike and cover never been off. Any hints tips would be greatly appreciated. Wheres the banging head against brick wall emoji gone??

Insert key, first slide out the lever on the left, then push in the lever on the right  :084:. But I'm thinking of getting rid of the locking thing too, it doesn't look good to me, too large, and I don't leave the Nav in there anyways. And with keyless you have to get the key out, so why then have keyless?

Cheers Salem,
Would appear i have a broken mount and no visible lever on the left hand side. Must have been broken in transit of something. Managed to get a long nose pair of pliers and release.
Oh well that is one for my dealer to get sorted.

@mab1067 post a photo of your mount, there wouldhave to be a really, really special set of circumstances for that 'lever' to get broken.

On further investigation this afternoon. It would appear im in need of specsavers. Lever is actually there. However in my defence the left hand lever is loads shorter and hides behind the mount.  :034:

Hence why I was struggling to understand how it got broken in transit!  :821:
