This is a filthy bike...
on: February 14, 2021, 12:19:40 PM
I've noticed that the hugger on the 2020 does not prevent road spray from throwing dirt at the back end.  It may seem worse because I have removed the rear carrier.  Any thoughts on a hugger that might provide better protection?  Anyone riding pillion will be sprayed with muck.

None of the huggers stop the dirt - I had a larger hugger and it was just the same

Well it’s good to see the Gen 2 is just as bad as as a Gen 1   :012:

Does the gen 2 not come with a rear mudguard?
I put a tail-tidy on my gen 1, but promptly but the O.E rear end inc. mudguard back on after the first time caught in heavy rain with a pillion. She was drenched. And in turn, that hurt my ears  :008:

Yes, it does - it's more visible in this photo.  I don't remember the Gen1 throwing out anywhere near as much muck!

That's the hugger, not the mudguard. Mudguard is attached to number plate/ rear light holder on gen 1. Hugger gets as mucky as that, but the muddy keeps the seat cleaner

Had Gen 1 bikes and now Gen 2. Gen 2 definitely more muck at the back, maybe due to the elimination od the bit of mudguard at the back
