Hi all, has anyone found a remedy for the centre stand knocking/rattle when travelling over poor road surfaces.

Sure it's the centre stand and not the screen bouncing against its spring mechanism - that can make a clang/rattle when riding over rough roads?

Mine certainly doesn't clang. Have you still got the rubber bung that the stand sits against when it is up?

Is it not your chain hitting the stand?
When the chain is not proberly adjusted (a bit to lose) that could happen.

Thank you for all your suggestions, the two rubber bungs are in place and striking where they are supposed to, chain adjustment is good, stand fixings are secure. I'm sure it's the stand as I can partially replicate the noise with the bike on the side stand, but just can't see where it's exactly coming from. I will nip out tomorrow to do some property checks and take the bike instead of the car, just to check the screen theory. What's the cure for the screen if that's the issue?

Try strapping the centre stand up before you go out so you can eliminate/confirm whether it’s the stand ?

Good plan Colin, I put some adhesive foam pads where the windscreen stops hit the holding mech, this stopped one rattle over severe bumps, but the stand knocking sound is still present. I will report back in due course.

I suspect it is your chain.  With such a long swing arm and chain slack, large bumps the compress the springs alot will definitely cause some chain slap against the guard.

I have my center stand removed and notice a knocking sound when going over certain bumps as described.  Haven't figured it out.
