    I’d appreciate hearing from folks who have removed their factory hand guards. Did you like the results or did you go back to the hand guards?

    I run without them in the summer(well, actually all year really), and in winter i put on a pair of Barkbusters Blizzard(mini-muffs). Love it in summer. In winter it does as designed(with more wind protection than the stock hand-guards), but they are pretty damn ugly. Winter time is definitely a function over form time
