    Quick question- emergency key

    Hi all

On my F800R BMW gave me a very flat plastic ignition key that I kept hidden in the back of my wallet. So if I lost my main key I had a backup to get out of trouble.

Anyone know if this is still a thing on the XR ‘15-‘19 ?

    Cheers  :020:
Not personally qualified to confuse cats, but I can recommend an extremely good service.

My 2021 XR is "Keyless", meaning I keep the fob in my tank bag or jacket pocket. I keep my small plastic backup key in a separate location on my person. To start the bike using the backup key, you hold next to the sensor ring when turning on the bike. Sensor ring location varies by year and model; it's under the body work at the rear of gas tank for me.

I would assume you do on the the 15-19, I got the flat key handed over yesterday as well as only one main key with a 2021 bike.
