Hi Everyone ,
May I introduce myself , I am a retired engineer living in the west off Scotland ( uk ) from the age of 14 have never been without a bike in my life.
and as you can imagine there has been a few oriental steeds , but more importantly 24 Bmw to date
Currently on S1000XR number two , I bought my first XR in 2017 and 18,000 miles later traded for a 2020 model,
to date 800 miles traveled on the new one , but to be honest the jury's out on whether the new machine is better.
Anyway thanks for accepting me on this form.
;-)

Welcome Rob. keep us informed on your thoughts on the pros/cons between new and old model. The new would have to be a substantial improvement over the old for me to change(I have too much vested in my 16), and it seems a lot of the 'improvements' I have done to some extent on my 16:
narrower bars
drop in weight (CAT gone, some CF installed, etc)
better fueling (flash and RB installed)

Hi and welcome to the site, everyone on here seem very friendly.
On number of bikes you have owned, I thought just the other day I need to write them all down and when, as they all have special memories.
