New Owner - almost

Hello from a new S1000XR owner - almost.  I have purchased a 2021 loaded model with "M" pieces, Akrapovic pipe and so on.

Only problem is that BMW can't get their bikes from the factory to the shipping port.  Apparently the COVID issues have created a situation where there is a shortage of shipping containers.  Combine this with other issues and BMW mandated STOP SALE or RECALLs - it might be Summer before I actually receive the bike.

Anxiously waiting.

Hope it arrives soon. I think there’s a fair few shipping containers held up in the Suez Canal area!

Good news. 

The dealer called and indicated that my wife's BMW F900XR is ready and my S1000XR has arrived at the docks in New Jersey (USA).  Either they found the required containers - or like Beksey mentioned - it might have gotten through the Canal finally.  Who knows.  Just happy to hear that someone someplace knows where it is and that it will be here. 

Yes - I can always ride the K1600.  Bikes are great - unlike women, they don't get jealous if you ride another one.
