    New guy on forum

Good Morning everyone, I am new to the forum and also back in to motorcycles after about eleven year absence. Previous bikes have included Kawasaki KE125, Yamaha 35LC, Kawasaki GPZ550, Kawasaki GPZ750R, Kawasaki GPZ600R, Yamaha RD500LC, Kawasaki ZX6R, Three Aprilia RSR100R and in January this year I purchased a BMW 1600GTL to go touring in which was a nightmare so got a refund and purchased a 2018 XR1000 Sport Se, with a few add-ons like Akra can, Carbon hugger, tinted screen.
I had my first ride round North East Scotland this morning and afternoon and was suitably impressed with the power, handling and comfort. Best part of the bike is the quick shifter, its so smooth up and down the box and so much better than any of the quick shifters on my Aprilia. I plan on getting some hard luggage for it in the next couple months all being well with the finances. is there anything else anyone would recommend changing or adding on?

    Stay safe and ride safe.

    Stu

:400: yes the quick shifter is very impressive, re luggage, I went with Givi, in particular to lose the BMW pannier carriers/frames which in my opinion are an eye sore when not using, Givi do a quick release system for the frames which I take off even when away.

Hi Stu...  :400: to the forum!
Would strongly suggest a radiator & oil cooler guard... if not already installed.
Re luggage, might be worth looking at SHAD, which is what I've got...
I see there's a 500 RDLC in your mix, used to ride one too and pretty mental it was  :007:
